LBFC SPRING REC LEAGUE

Laguna Beach FC is excited to announce the launch of its recreational soccer training program for the Spring of 2022.

Laguna Beach FC is focused on individual player development in order to ensure that the boys and girls experience success at the high school level and beyond.

Laguna Beach FC coaches are all professionally licensed in Europe and the United States and it is these coaches that will implement the training program and oversee the coaching of the recreation players.

The curriculum will encompass the four components of soccer, Technical, Tactical, Physical, and Psychological however the main focus will be on developing the technical component of the game, in a positive and fun training environment.

-Tryouts Jan 8 @ TMS Girls U6-U14 1-2 PM, Boys U6-U14 2-3 PM
-$325 includes practice shirt and game-day uniform
-March 5 to May 21
-Saturday Games
-Practices in Laguna Beach
-Mentoring program with LBHS varsity players
-Professional coaching staff

The Laguna Beach FC recreation program will ensure maximum player development focusing on the fundamentals of the game.

REC COACH REQUIREMENTS

Welcome, LBFC Recreational Coaches and thank you for volunteering. If you have not already registered, please do so here. The link below will allow you to create a coach’s account on GotSport which will be needed for the requirements below.

Items that NEED to be completed by the start of the season, unless noted otherwise:

1. SafeSport Online Training
SafeSport is the Olympic community’s initiative to recognize, reduce and respond to misconduct in sport. The required SafeSport Training is free and takes approximately 90 minutes. It can be accessed online at SafeSportTrained.org. The certificate is valid for 11 months. After 11 months, you will need to take the “refresher” course which is approximately 20 minutes. Please upload the 32 digit code on your certificate after completion to your Got Sports Account.

2. US SOCCER Grassroots Course
A minimum of a grassroots license through US Soccer is required for all LBFC REC coaches. Grassroots courses are $25 and are offered online at https://www.ussoccer.com/coaching. They target different age groups and classes take approximately 2 hours.

3. US CLUB SOCCER Background Check
This is a one-time requirement. The background check can be initiated through your LBFC coaching account on Got Sport.

4.US CLUB SOCCER Disqualification Review
This is a one-time requirement. The disqualification review can be initiated through your LBFC coaching account on Got Sport.

5. Participate in Mandatory Coaches Meeting
New and returning coaches are required to participate. Meeting information will be sent by email to all LBFC REC coaches prior to the season.

Become a Referee!

Parents, players, and other volunteers can become qualified refs by participating in LBFC’s one-hour-long Referee class. If you’re a player or parent, becoming a Referee and supporting LBFC during Rec games will fulfill volunteer hour requirements for LBFC scholarship recipients and HS students. Certified referees may also attend the LBFC course as a refresher.
